These Terms & Services describe how GybeMark presents information on gybemark.com, how enquiries are handled, and how home-improvement work is scoped when a household chooses to proceed. By using this website you agree to read these terms together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please leave the site and write to hello@gybemark.com only if you need a copy of this document.

1. Who we are
GybeMark is a home-improvement studio working in flooring, painting, tiling, wallpaper, carpet, and related interior finishing. References to “we”, “our”, or “the studio” mean GybeMark. References to “you” mean the person browsing this website or requesting a quotation, sample review, or installation.
This website is a static presentation of our craft. Forms on the site are processed in your browser to confirm that required fields are complete. They do not, by themselves, create a contract for installation work. A contract is formed only when both sides accept a written scope that lists rooms, products, preparation, access, and price.
2. Nature of the website
Photographs, project names, and descriptions illustrate the character of our work. Rooms vary. Subfloors hide surprises. Paint colors shift with lamps, north light, and neighboring materials. Nothing on this website is a guarantee that your rooms will look identical to a portfolio image. We will always say so in a proposal if a photographed finish cannot be repeated with the products available for your house.
Prices shown on the Pricing page are care-plan illustrations, not installation bids. Flooring, painting, and tiling quotations depend on measured areas, substrate condition, waste factors, stair complexity, furniture protection, and the sequence of trades. A Classic, Standard, or Premium plan may be added beside a project quotation; it does not replace one.
3. Enquiries and forms
When you submit a form, you confirm that the name and email you provide are yours to use, that your message is sent for a genuine home-improvement purpose, and that you understand a planner may reply with clarifying questions. Automated, misleading, or abusive submissions may be ignored.
Because forms are client-side, you should not assume that GybeMark has received a message until a planner writes back. If you do not hear from us, send the same note directly to hello@gybemark.com. Do not include payment-card numbers in any form or email.
4. Quotations and samples
A quotation is valid for the period stated on it, typically fourteen to thirty days, because timber, tile, and coating prices move and because dye lots change. Samples left in a room are for decision-making. They are not an instruction to begin work. If a sample is a special-order piece, we will say whether it must be returned or may be kept.
Acceptance of a quotation should be in writing. Verbal enthusiasm during a walkthrough is welcome; it is not a purchase order. Changes after acceptance—an extra closet, a different grout, a request to include the landing—will be priced before that extra work starts.
5. Access, protection, and household life
Home-improvement work happens inside a living house. You agree to provide reasonable access, working electricity where tools need it, and a clear route for materials. We agree to protect floors and furnishings that remain in place, to contain dust as far as the method allows, and to leave the working area tidy at the end of each day.
Some processes cannot be made silent or odorless. Sanding, tile cutting, and certain primers require ventilation and, occasionally, a room that stays empty overnight. We will name those days in the schedule. Pets and children should be kept away from wet coatings, open stair voids, and loose boards. GybeMark is not a childcare or pet-sitting service.
6. Materials, moisture, and hidden conditions
Wood, laminate, and some adhesives need time to acclimate. Tile beds need to cure. Paint needs dry, dust-free air. If a survey shows moisture, salt, or movement beyond what a finish can honestly cover, we will recommend repair before cosmetics. Refusing that repair and asking us to “just lay something” may void workmanship cover for the affected area.
Hidden conditions—rot beneath a seemingly sound board, a previous coating that rejects new paint, heating pipes set too high in a screed—are not always visible at quotation. When they appear, we pause, explain, and price the extra work. We do not bury the cost in silence, and we do not continue as if the problem were cosmetic.
7. Workmanship and product warranties
GybeMark stands behind the way we prepare, install, and finish. Manufacturer warranties on boards, coatings, and tiles remain with the manufacturer and depend on correct use, cleaning, and environment. We will pass those documents to you at handover. Workmanship cover does not include damage from flooding, moving furniture without pads, steam from an unventilated shower, or refinishing by another party.
Color variation in natural stone and timber is a feature, not a defect. Slight sheen difference between a sample card and a large painted wall is expected because light and film thickness change at scale. We will help you choose, but we cannot freeze a room in the exact light of a showroom photograph.
8. Payments
Payment terms appear on the quotation: typically a deposit to reserve labor and materials, stage payments aligned with delivery, and a final amount on practical completion. Care-plan fees, if you choose one, are billed on the cycle you select. This website does not collect card details. Never send banking passwords through a contact form.
Late payment may pause remaining work and may delay manufacturer warranty registration where registration is time-sensitive. Disputed items should be raised in writing so the rest of a completed room is not held hostage to a single accessory.
9. Cancellation and delays
If you cancel after materials have been ordered to a specific dye lot or plank width, those materials may not be returnable. We will recover what we can and charge only what we cannot. Weather, supply interruption, or illness can move a start date. We will tell you as soon as we know. We do not compensate for inconvenience that sits outside our control, and we do not accept penalty clauses that ignore the realities of finishing work.
10. Intellectual property
The GybeMark name, diamond mark, website layout, copy, and photographs we own remain our intellectual property. You may share a link to gybemark.com. You may not copy the site, scrape its text for another contractor’s brochure, or present our project images as your own work. Client photographs used with permission remain subject to that permission.
11. Acceptable use of the site
You may not attempt to disrupt the website, introduce malicious code, harvest emails, or impersonate GybeMark. You may not use our forms to send advertising for unrelated trades. We may block access where we reasonably believe these rules are broken.
12. Third-party sites and social profiles
Footer and header icons may point to social profiles or external resources. Those destinations have their own terms. GybeMark is not responsible for content we do not control. A like, share, or comment on a social platform is not a substitute for a written quotation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GybeMark is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, including lost time spent on a design idea that you later abandon. For contracted installation work, liability is described in the written scope and is limited to re-performance or a reasonable credit related to the affected area, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Newsletter subscription and unsubscription are voluntary. Project photographs you send become part of your enquiry file and are not published without a separate conversation.
15. Changes
We may update these terms when our services, materials, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page will move. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised text for website use. Existing signed quotations remain governed by the version that applied when they were accepted, unless both sides agree otherwise in writing.
16. Contact about these terms
Questions about these Terms & Services should be sent to hello@gybemark.com with the subject line “Terms”. We will not provide legal advice about your own contracts with landlords, insurers, or other trades, but we will explain how a GybeMark scope is meant to be read.
